Unless previously authorized by a Labor Supplier, WorkRecords does not verify a Labor Supplier's worker's name and SS# with the Social Security Number Verification (SSNV) service.
On occasion, due to the large volume of workers already existing in the WorkRecords database, a Labor Supplier entering a new worker will encounter a message during the process that the SS# they are entering is already associated with a worker with a different name entered by another Labor Supplier. When this happens, the correcting procedure is the following:
- The new Labor Supplier will access the Social Security Number Verification (SSNV) service and confirm their worker's name and SS# are a match (if there is not a match, the first Labor Supplier will also need to consult with their worker and resolve the conflict).
- If there is a match, then the Labor Supplier should contact WorkRecords Support and report the conflict and confirm they have verified their worker's name and SS# match in the SSNV database.
- WorkRecords Support will then contact the initial Labor Supplier informing them of the conflict and instruct them to contact their worker to collect their correct SS# and communicate it to WorkRecords Support.
- WorkRecords Support will edit the initial worker's data adding their correct SS# and then inform the new Labor Supplier that they may now complete the process of entering their worker's information into the WorkRecords database.
